This is one of our favorite local spots to catch cherry blossoms without the chaos. Take a walk, snap a few photos, and soak in those peak spring vibes.

🌸 Frelinghuysen Arboretum (Morristown)
Head over to the arboretum for a quieter, garden-style experience. Even if you miss peak cherry blossoms, you’ll still find dogwoods, magnolias, and other blooms getting ready to pop, making this a great backup (or second stop!).
🌸 Hurd Park (Dover)
Looking for a later bloom window? Hurd Park in Dover is a great third option. These trees tend to bloom a bit later than other spots, so if you miss peak week elsewhere, check here around mid-April.
🌸 Mennen Arena (Morris Plains)
While not a park and limited in blooms, if you are headed from Central Park to Frelinghuysen Arboretum or just find yourself on East Hanover Ave, their entry way is worth a quick look.

One of the best things about these local spots? You can turn a simple flower visit into a full family outing — no long drive required. Whether it’s a quick stroll, a picnic lunch, or playground time, Morris County makes it easy to enjoy spring close to home.
